Leading into the US Open, Gatorade commissioned a group of artists to create a unique collection to commemorate Serena Williams’ 21 Grand Slam titles. Each work of art was inspired by a different championship moment. The designs were composed together to form a breathtaking mural in the streets of New York during the tournament.

Gatorade shared all 21 designs across social channels along with the stories behind them. A fitting tribute to a modern day legend.

My Role: As Brand Director, I defined a “Speed of Sport'' content strategy that aligned Gatorade digital activations to key moments in the seasons / careers of Gatorade signature athletes. For this project, I worked directly with the creative and media agencies to conceive, sell in and execute this hero platform. The combination of physical outdoor, web and social content offered a rich canvas for inspired storytelling.

21 SLAMS. 21 STYLES.

Teams I empowered: TBWA\Chiat, Vault49 (designers), Overall Murals
